5 medium avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1 lemon, juiced
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp chopped cilantro
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 medium onion, diced
2 tomatoes, seeded and diced
Prepare avocados and cut into chucks and place in a bowl. Squeeze avocados with lemon juice then add salt, cumin, cilantro, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Mash all together with potato masher. Dice up onion and tomatoes and fold into the avocado mixture with a spatula. Transfer to an air tight container and refrigerate for storage.
*Serve with tortilla chips or use as a side for your Mexican favourites.
*Can add a less or more of the cayenne depending on how spicy you want it.
*You can dice up avocado instead of mashing it you prefer a chunkier guacamole, or puree everything in the food processor if you like your guacamole smooth.
