This park was so beautiful and has amazing natural walking trails as well as a play ground for the kids. The trails run right along beside the river. This is the second time we have gone to this park but the first time we didn’t make it very far down the trail before the kids discovered a giant puddle. Of course in normal mother instinct I yell to Jellybean “don’t go in the puddle you have your shoes on,” but as he stopped looked at me and acknowledged what I said he turned and ran straight through the almost knee deep water in his running shoes. The kids were then striped naked and they played in said puddle for over an hour. Needless to say I didn’t get any pictures of the naked puddle babies and if I did they would not be appropriate for sharing. So today we decided to give it another try and enjoy the walking trails, and thankfully the puddle was completely dried up. Here are the pictures from our adventure.
We brought some bubbles to play with, they sadly didn’t last very long.
Can you spot the giant black snake?
Jellybean pushing his girlfriend in the stroller.
Littlebean caught a ride in the carrier for our walk, and surprisingly he stayed awake.
Playing in the playground after our nice long walk.
The kids had a blast and it was so nice to get outside and close to nature. Living the city somethings makes you forget enjoyment in the simple things.
